Thank you for your email and for sharing your views on Reiki and Reiki
symbols. Each soul on the planet must follow their own spiritual
heart and inner guidance...you have followed yours and I have followed
mine, and I respect that. In truth, all truths lead to the
same place, in the end....
There are actually many belief systems and rules about Reiki after these
many years. Many interpretations. But how wonderful that it
has become so well known and practiced, no matter what the format.
What I have been emphatically guided to know from my own Higher
Self is that the bottom line about Reiki is that it is between each
soul and the Creator, and that no other soul really has the right to
get in the middle of that or try to limit that in any way. Also I
have been guided to not so much focus on the symbols as they are
simply focusing tools, and Reiki itself is so much more....so I see no
harm in sharing them, and if a person is triggered by seeing them, so be
it. I know the common belief system is that you must be
"attuned" for those symbols to work, but I am not in agreement
with that.
There is some very interesting information I have read recently
that corroborates what I have intuitively known for over ten years now
about Reiki...you might find it an interesting read as well. For
instance that Mrs. Takata gave different symbols to each of her Reiki
Masters, which they found out after she passed away, or that Dr. Usui
did not use symbols at all until he trained his last three
students.....I think that when Reiki was brought to the west it was
changed a great deal and proclaimed to be the traditional Usui way, and
maybe that was in fact not true at all:
You may not agree, and that is fine, but I was doing Reiki before I was
attuned, and so are many other people. This is a time of great
awakening, and the Creator is not going to wait for a person who has an
open heart and a desire for spiritual awakening and loving service to
get an initiation from one of us for them to be able to flow
Reiki.....that is a Divine Birthright. I'm not saying that the
attunements we do have no importance, because they do, nor am I saying
that the symbols have no importance, because they do, but Reiki is alive
and dynamic and I know I must not allow the egoic, control-oriented mind to
lead me with regards to Reiki nor am I to attempt to limit
others by logic either. I must follow my soul guidance.
What is precious about Reiki to me is that Reiki is Love. And I
accept and love how you perceive Reiki and I hope you can find it in
your heart to do the same....
